Pretty soon, the umpquabank.com homepage will look different. And, most importantly, it should feel different.
In 2008, we launched a new and improved umpquabank.com. That doesn’t seem so long ago, but so much has evolved since then: social media has become a part of everyday life, the ipad was born, mobile apps abound. ... Suddenly, our new and improved site felt pretty quaint, and we knew it was time for an upgrade.
We’re a community bank. We live in neighborhoods near you. We share similar interests. We take pleasure in the unexpected and our connections to other people. So we've built this new homepage to be more collaborative and engaging, including:
• Local events. Based on where you live, we’ll let you know what events are happening in your neighborhood and what store is nearest you.
• Volunteerism tracker. Every full-time Umpqua associate gets 40 paid hours to volunteer in their communities. Track our progress and see how your neighborhood store Associates are giving back!
• Share your social. Our “Today in the Community” highlights conversations and interesting tidbits from our Twitter and Facebook feeds and our Umpqua Notes and Learn to Earn blogs. Post away so we can share your ideas/thoughts with fellow Umpquarians.
• Log in right here. Your online banking login is now available directly on the homepage, saving you a click (remember to update your bookmark if you have one).
We recently wrapped up a one-week test of the new site and appreciate everybody's feedback. We're implementing some of those ideas and are excited to roll out the new page soon. Stay tuned!
