About this
Last year, we shared good saving habits with 7,000 kids through classroom visits and activities in our stores to celebrate "Teach Children to Save Day" on April 24th. This year, we want to do even more.
So, we're taking on one of life's most important lessons—the difference between a "need" and a "want". We want to know what the collective we really needs and wants most. Does it change as we age? Does it vary based on where we live?
Join us in this discovery by answering a few questions at right, then click through the word cloud above to see what others are saying. (Our guess is you'll find wisdom and inspiration in every geography and age bracket!)
Thanks!
Thanks for your submission!
Take a look above in the word cloud to see where your need and want land. Better yet, check back soon to see what others are saying, too!

Visit any of our Umpqua Bank stores the week of April 23 to celebrate Teach Children to Save Day in person! We'll be hosting educational tours for the kiddos from 3:00 – 4:30pm each afternoon. The tours will end with an edible coin and a takeaway on tips for saving.
Your kids will also have the opportunity to share a need and a want. (We'll be randomly selecting and funding fifteen of each need and want—up to $250 each—to help your kids reach their goals!)
