Sophia Harding is a Senior Private Bank Relationship Manager with Umpqua Bank. Every relationship begins with a broad-ranging discussion to understand the client’s entire financial situation and to bring into focus the client’s ideal vision of the future. Sophia began her career as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley in 2002 before joining Northern Trust as an Institutional Sales executive specializing in large Pension, Healthcare, Foundation, and Endowment plans. Sophia also worked for JP Morgan Asset Management as a pension specialist before transitioning back to the private client industry with Wells Fargo Private Bank and City National Bank, where she built a niche specializing in advising international clients.
Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Sophia was educated in England and graduated with BA Honors degree in European Business from Loughborough University. Sophia also trained with Alvin Ailey and Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting in New York City before pursuing her banking career. Sophia speaks English, French, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Malay. She has her Life, Accident, and Health Insurance licensed in the states of Oregon and California. Sophia holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation.
