Songmi might have the best job at Umpqua, she gets to work in the community she loves–creating and nurturing new relationships with neighbors. While her greatest strengths are her tenacity, attention to detail and extensive knowledge of commercial lending, she’s built a career on her honesty, respect and rapport with clients. And the relationships she’s built have flourished over the span of her 18 years in the industry. She strives to ease her client’s minds by finding the best solutions for their unique needs.
When Songmi first landed in the states, she didn’t speak much English and had no family to turn to. She immersed herself in the culture and quickly became self-sufficient. She now has a family of her own, with three grown children and two grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family, gardening, and learning about other cultures. She’s also involved in SW Eureka’s Rotary Club and the Humboldt Botanical Garden Foundation.
