We are upgrading our Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) system to better meet the evolving needs of our customers. The new system provides many of the features you are used to, with an improved experience and functionality.
Transition Timeline
The transition to the new system will occur in phases over the next few months with the first group of customers beginning their transition on Monday, July 3.
You should have received a notification about the upcoming system change on June 22. Customers transitioning as part of the first group were notified in that communication that their transition would begin July 3. All other Remote Deposit and Deposit Express customers will be notified at least two weeks prior to the start of their transition period.

Key Changes
The new RDC system will provide the same features and functionality you utilize today but with an enhanced look and feel. Below highlights the changes between systems or specific to the transition process for which you need to be aware so you are prepared.
Remote Deposit (legacy Umpqua Bank system)
- Select “Remote Deposit Check Capture” within Business Online Banking to login.
- Users will need to be granted single sign-on access again within Business Online Banking to “Remote Deposit Check Capture.”
- Webscan software will need to be reinstalled. This can be found under Help in the new system.
- Custom reports will need to be set up again.
Deposit Express (legacy Columbia Bank system)
- Access to RDC will be within Business Online Banking via single sign-on.
- All RDC users will need to have single sign-on access to “Remote Deposit Check Capture” enabled within Business Online Banking.
- Current RDC users who do not have Business Online Banking access will need to be set up and provided single sign-on access to “Remote Deposit Check Capture.”
- Webscan software will need to be reinstalled. This can be found under Help in the new system.
- Custom reports will need to be set up again.
- The deposit cutoff time will extend to 8pm PT.
What’s Not Changing
As part of the transition, all accounts users and locations will automatically transition to the new Remote Deposit Check Capture system. Below are additional items that will remain the same.
Remote Deposit (legacy Umpqua Bank system)
- Continue to access to RDC within Business Online Banking.
- Utilize the same equipment.
- Your cutoff remains 8pm PT.
- Deposit limits will remain.
- Deposits will post in the same manner they do today.
- Access to the same types of reports.
Deposit Express (legacy Columbia Bank system)
- Utilize the same equipment.
- Deposit limits will remain.
- Deposits will post in the same manner they do today.
- Access to the same types of reports.
Training
You will be assigned a Specialist who will provide personalized virtual training for your company’s users and walk you through your first deposit in the new system. Your specialist will reach out to you to schedule training once your transition period has begun.
To allow for business continuity, you will continue to have access to your current RDC system while you are completing training.
Once your transition period ends, you will no longer have access to deposit checks in the current system. You will continue to be able to view historical reports in the current system up to six weeks following your transition.

Logging into Remote Deposit Check Capture for the First Time
You will access Remote Deposit Check Capture through Business Online Banking. You will not need separate login credentials.
Once your transition period begins, a Business Online Banking Company Administrator will need to enable access to Remote Deposit Check Capture through the Services and Accounts section under Company Administration.
Once your access is enabled, follow the steps below.
- Select the Account Services tab.
- Choose Remote Deposit Check Capture.
