Community Lending Team

Community Lending is committed to lending equitably throughout our footprint, ensuring credit is flowing to underserved borrowers and neighborhoods. Our Community Lending Team is tasked with sub goals for mortgage and small business lending to borrowers with low and moderate incomes, as well as to Black, Latino/a, Native American, and Asian borrowers, and neighborhoods.

Our team works with nonprofit housing organizations and ethnically diverse real estate trade associations and organizations. We also engage with local elected officials and state agencies to address housing issues. In addition, we help identify and recruit diverse talent for the bank.

The unique structure of the team allows them to be fully committed to the communities they represent and serve. This new approach provides the opportunity for Umpqua to understand the needs of the communities so that we can serve them in a way that best supports those needs and achieve the dream of homeownership and small business growth.
